Roc Brewing – Review
We add yet another brewery to our growing list of breweries that have plates. I feel like Roc Brewing has been around forever. They recently remodeled the joint and have teamed up with FLX wienery (which I admit is an amusing pun). So anywho, I tried their plate and I was pleasantly surprised. For $16.99 you can order their “Roc-pile” plate. If you don’t want to keep reading, I recommend you check it out, I enjoyed it.
I apologize in advance for the photos below, I showed up at night to shoot and the lighting was not great. I got a few iPhone photos but the quality is considerably lower than my usual. That said I sorta like the blurry photos that I got, so I figured I’d share them with you, my loyal reader.
HEALTH INSPECTION NOTES:
Impressively, there were no health violations in their latest inspection. Kudos to them for keeping a clean kitchen. I would feel comfortable eating there again.
Meat (Cheeseburgers): 4
The burgers here were alright, they were a bit overcooked for my personal taste but otherwise fine.
Meat Sauce: 5
The meat hot here caught me a bit off guard. It’s got a good heat to it and complimented the rest of the ingredients well.
Potato Side (Home fries): 4
For a change, I found the fries to be a bit over salted. Outside of that, they were kind of mediocre.
Mac Salad: 3
The mac salad had too much of something, I’m not sure if it was mustard or mayonnaise but it wasn’t working for me.
Bread: N/A
I did not receive bread with my order.
Portion Control/Composition: 5
This plate is massive, and they really go out of their way to make sure that you have enough of everything.
Overall Score: 4.2
This was an excellent plate. I was pleasantly surprised. It’s worth checking out and enjoying a beer on the patio.
