Whichcraft Brews – Review
A few weeks ago, I had the chance to check out the plate from Whichcraft Brews in Webster. I was in the mood for beers, and this was the perfect excuse. I know it isn’t related to plates, but I thought the beer here was good. For $14.04 you can get their version of the plate called the “Penster Plate”. Let’s talk about it:
HEALTH INSPECTION NOTES:
I didn’t see anything in their inspection that would give me pause. There was one minor infraction but nothing too concerning.
Meat (Cheeseburgers): 3
The burgers here are nothing special.
Meat Sauce: 3
The meat sauce was a bit subdued. It tasted like they didn’t want to take too many risks with the sauce, but it just comes off as a bit bland.
Potato Side (Home fries): 5
The home fries here were quite good, and they looked home made which is always nice.
Mac Salad: 5
The mac salad here was great. It tasted unique, like it was made in house. I could obviously be wrong about this, but I found it enjoyable.
Bread: N/A
I did not receive bread with my order.
Portion Control/Composition: 5
They give you a lot of food, and everything seemed to be well balanced.
Overall Score: 4.2
The flavors were more muted in this plate than in previous plates. It’s a bit milder than what I’d generally prefer. That said, the home fries and mac salad are what really stood out to me in this plate. They were something special. If you’re in the area and want good beers with a solid plate, you can’t really go wrong with Whichcraft Brews.
