Bella’s Greece Hots – Review
With all of the end of the year wrap ups, and giveaways I’ve been doing, I’ve fallen a bit behind on my reviews. I’m roughly a month behind, but it’s not a huge deal, because it’ll just mean that I’ll have content going forward. With that housekeeping out of the way, let’s get to talking plates. For $12.26 you can get the “Bella’s Spazza Plate” from Bella’s Greece Hots. I quite enjoyed it, let’s break it down:
HEALTH INSPECTION NOTES:
They had one noncritical violation from an inspection dated July 23, 2020. I would feel comfortable eating here again.
Meat (Cheeseburgers): 5
The burgers here were very good; and I’m not sure what cheese they used, but I enjoyed that as well.
Meat Sauce: 5
The meat sauce here had a unique flavor that I couldn’t put my finger on. I had a good kick to it too which I appreciated.
Potato Side (Home fries): 3
These are the standard home fries that you can get just about anywhere. They weren’t seasoned and tasted frozen. This was one of the weaker parts of the plate for me.
Mac Salad: 4
The mac salad here was solid, it could be home made but I’m not sure. I will point out that it had a strong taste of onion, so if you don’t like onions, you may want to skip out on the mac salad.
I did not receive bread with my order.
Portion Control/Composition: 4
They give you a good amount of food, but they lost points here because I felt the plate was a bit greasy. Otherwise it would have scored higher.
Overall Score: 4.2
This is a standard plate done well. Aside from the greasiness I mentioned in the portion/composition section of this review, I found it to be quite good. They give you a good amount of food, and their meat sauce is unique and different. To put it succinctly, they’re doing a lot of things right.
